Getting Started
I’m not technical, is it easy to set up?
One of the great strengths of imagicam is it's ease of use. We know you'd much rather be looking through a camera than staring at a computer screen, that's why we've developed the system so that even with a minimum of computer knowledge, you can get set up, upload images and go live in a matter of minutes!
How intuitive is it for my customers?
There's a real difference between being 'feature rich' and 'feature heavy' for viewers of your online galleries. Being on the wrong side of this scale, even by a small margin can cost you many lost sales and the interest of potential customers for your service.
You'll find imagicam Online Albums have been streamlined to be perfectly in tune with the whole online viewing and ordering process, without unnecessary distractions for your viewers or needless complications for you to explain as the photographer.
Do I need a website of my own to use imagicam?
Not at all. Although imagicam can be integrated seamlessly with your own website, we also provide access to your albums and portfolios through the imagicam homepage. We know this provides a welcome foothold on the Internet to get your images displayed and sold without the necessity of running your own website. This also provides photographers with the opportunity to sell images not normally associated with their main line of work on their business website.
How do I get started?
Simply create an account, which only takes a few seconds to do and carries no obligation. You will automatically be registered on our 30 Day Free Trial, allowing you to create albums, portfolios and much more! You can even activate your own ‘Web Portal’ guiding online visitors to view and order from your galleries directly from your website, or if you prefer from the imagicam website instead and all without charge.
Website Integration
How do I set up access to my Online Albums or Portfolios?
This is done simply by placing the respective Web Portal link into your website, which only needs to be done once to activate your Web Portal page. Thereafter, visitors to your website will be able to view and order from all your online galleries.
Access to your Online Albums and Portfolios is also provided via the imagicam website, or if required, with individual links for each of your galleries.
Can you integrate the design of my website into the Online Album pages?
Yes, of course. This is by far the most popular option. We offer a design integration service that mirrors the ‘look & feel’ of your own website and applies it to every imagicam application you use, automagically! This integration service is available without added cost when you take out an annual Pro subscription package.

What type of service options do you offer?
imagicam is a versatile service that can be adapted to your work flow. We offer a customisable subscription option to fit just about any type of photographer, but we also offer a Pay-As-You-Go option for those that prefer it.
How does the 30 Day Free Trial work?
By simply creating an account, you will be given a ‘no obligation’ trial of the service, letting you use all of imagicam’s service features, including accepting orders from your customers, for a full 30 days without charge. You will also have an opportunity to see first hand how some of the unique service areas of imagicam can help your business for the long term.
Order Processing & Payments
Do all of your service plans accept online orders?
Yes, they do. Although you have the option to disable sales from any specific Online Album, all our service plans include sales as standard, whether on Pay-As-You-Go or on our Subscription packages.
How will I know when an order is received?
All accepted orders and related information are logged in your Album Management Area and also sent to your registered email address instantly. Your online orders history is conveniently displayed in a dedicated area of your control panel for easy reference and further management options, including Order Tracking for you and your customers.
What are my Print-Fulfilment options?
1Automated Print Fulfilment - seamlessly automates your order fulfilment to your customers through our pro Photo-Lab partners. Payments are processed in real time via WorldPay's secure payment gateway and orders are relayed automatically to the lab to fulfil and dispatch directly to your customers. (Includes Hi-res Digital Downloads).
2Assisted Print-Fulfilment - simplifies your workflow by relaying order details to your preferred Photo-Lab, who can then fulfil orders according to your own prior arrangements with them. Of course, this means supplying the Hi-Res files to the lab yourself, but the service is rendered Commission Free. (WorldPay payment processing fees apply).
3Self-Fulfil Your Online Orders - With this Commission Free service option, orders are accepted automatically online on your behalf, but the responsibility of organising the fulfilment & delivery of orders to your customers is down to you.

Do you charge a commission if I am self-fulfilling my orders?
No. imagicam renders its services entirely commission free on all standard self-fulfilled service options, whether on Pay-As-You-Go or Subscription.
Please note: Payments accepted via WorldPay or PayPal payment gateways are subject to their own respective bank-handling fees. WorldPay transactions are currently processed with a service charge of 6%. PayPal is dependent upon account type and therefore users should refer to www.paypal.co.uk for specific details.
What payment methods are offered to customers when ordering online?
There are numerous ways in which you can choose to be paid by your customers:
- WorldPay - Your customer pays directly online using credit or debit card
- PayPal - Your customer is asked to pay directly into your PayPal account
- Your Own Merchant Account - You call your customer for their card details
- Bank Transfer - Your customers pay via telephone or online banking payments
- Bank Cheque - Your customers send a UK bank cheque to you directly
Can I accept payments from my customers during my 30 Day Free Trial?
Yes you can. During your 30 Day Trial you are given the opportunity to use all our applications for free, including the provision to accept online sales for your business.
Security
How reliable are your servers?
You’ll be happy to know we spare no expense to secure the integrity of your valuable data, which is hosted on the state of art servers with one of the world’s leading networks, Rackspace, also based here in the UK.
Are all Online Albums or Portfolios password protected?
You are given full control of whether or not to password protect your Online Albums or Portfolios. Passwords may also be changed at any stage, if this is required.
Can online visitors steal my images?
The usual online image saving methods, such as right click or drag & drop functions have been disabled to help prevent direct downloads of images by unscrupulous users. However, for your total peace of mind and to dispel any possible infringement, you also have the option to watermark your images before any upload.
What about my privacy?
We take the privacy of our users very seriously. All information submitted by you and/or about you will ONLY be used for the necessary operation of any services provided by imagicam and for providing the best possible service for you and your customers. Your personal information is NEVER sold, rented, loaned, or otherwise used. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I transfer my existing galleries from another online proofing service?
Yes, of course. As your 30 day trial period allows you to upload freely, this is a convenient time to transfer your existing galleries to our servers. However, if you want to leave it until later that's also fine, we're always here and happy to help should you need any assistance with this process.
What sort of support do you offer for your members?
